Kyle Scranton, BS and Lejla Medzikovic, PhD Earn Poster Prizes at UCLA Cardiovascular Research Theme Symposium 2022

Kyle Scranton, BS and Lejla Medzikovic, PhD were awarded the top poster prizes at the UCLA Cardiovascular Research Theme Symposium, which took place on October 20-21, 2022 at UCLA's Grand Horizon Room. Kyle was granted the 1st Place Poster Award for his research poster entitled, "The Mechanism of Action of Cardiac Glycosides Leverages the Sodium-dependent Inactivation of the Sodium-Calcium Exchanger to Elevate Intracellular Calcium." Lejla's research poster was entitled "Small leucine-rich proteoglycan Asporin represses smooth muscle cell proliferation and regulates pulmonary hypertension development" and earned the 2nd Place Poster Award. Congratulations to Kyle and Lejla!
