SOAP 2023 Annual Meeting

May 3-7, 2023

Resident physicians Brittany Burton, MD, MHS, MAS, CA-2, and Jordan Francke, MD, MPH, CA-2, and faculty anesthesiologists Catherine Cha, MD, Richard Hong, MD, and Cristianna Vallera, MD, represented the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine (DAPM) at the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, on May 3-7, 2023. Dr. Burton and Dr. Vallera received a SOAP Diversity & Inclusivity Mentored Grant for their research proposal entitled “Machine Learning Approaches to Predict Postpartum Hemorrhage for Cesarean Delivery.” Dr. Burton and Dr. Francke each presented case reports that were mentored by Dr. Vallera.
