Radiation Safety

The Radiation Safety Program at UCLA Health facilitates the safe use of ionizing radiation, while controlling for or mitigating potential risks and hazards to the public, staff, patients, and environment. The central tenet of the radiation safety program is to keep radiation exposure risks “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA). The services that the Radiation Safety Program provides are:
